2018 AASHE Conference & Expo Full Schedule Released
August 7, 2018 (Philadelphia, PA) – The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) recently released the full schedule for the 2018 AASHE Conference & Expo that explores the theme, “Global Goals: Rising to the Challenge.”
Held Oct. 2 – 5 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the 2018 AASHE Conference & Expo is expected to draw approximately 2,000 participants to network and share new innovations, activities, frameworks, learning outcomes, tools, strategies, research, theory and leadership initiatives that are changing the face of sustainability on their campus and surrounding communities.
A two-day film festival has been added to the program of events to best highlight the wide range of approaches AASHE members are taking to advance sustainability in their communities. This film fest complements the more than 300 education sessions, 20+ networking opportunities, 18 workshops and 4 tours or evening events that aim to expand the skill sets of higher education sustainability practitioners.
“With a variety of sessions on 17 sustainable topics, thought provoking workshops, invigorating tour and evening events, as well as a new film festival, I am confident that sustainability practitioners can find sessions at AASHE 2018 that align with their institution’s, organization’s or business’s goals,” shared AASHE Executive Director Meghan Fay Zahniser.
