Sustainability is about more than “reduce-reuse-recycle,” about more than greening our individual choices. Now more than ever, those committed to sustainability must cultivate habits of civic engagement.

The theme of this conference is Resilience, Resolve, and Renewal: Redefining the 3Rs of Sustainability and aims to consider the politics of sustainability education, from our teaching, learning, and research to our institutional operations and individual acts of citizenship. How do we work locally and globally to restore our human and natural systems? How do we stay grounded in practices of personal reflection, even as we consider acts of public resistance?
