Workshop: Embed the Sustainable Development Goals in Your Course

Learning/Guiding Questions:
- Which Sustainable Development Goals SDG(s) does your course address?
- Could you identify one or two specific goals and targets (indicators) your course helps work towards?
- How might you convey this to your students?
- What kind of alignment would they see?
- How would it help their learning?
This workshop is designed to help you:
- Identify the SDGs that are most pertinent to your course.
- Develop learning outcomes that will help students work towards the goal(s).
- Adapt methods of instruction for student
engagement in sustainable development.
In future teaching & learning, how might we:
- Modify curricula to bring in relevant SDGs?
- Add new courses to expand students’ knowledge, skills, attitudes related to the SDGs?
- Use interactive pedagogies such as enabling interaction with society?

Discounts are available for group registration. A limited number of scholarships are available to individuals who need financial assistance to participate. Please apply two weeks before the program begins (e.g., 4/25/2024) to be considered for a scholarship for this workshop.

- Payment is accepted in the form of Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards.
If you need to pay by check or ACH, please contact us at least 5 weeks prior to the event start date. Registration using these forms of payment must be received 4 weeks prior to the event start date and full payment must be received by AASHE within 2 weeks of event start date. - Cancellation Policy: A 20% processing fee applies to any cancellation prior to April 29, 2024. No refunds will be given after April 29, 2024.

Facilitators
Garg Aditi, Educational Development Specialist, University of Saskatchewan
Aditi Garg is an educational development specialist helping educators design courses and programs that allow students to develop competencies for social, environmental, and economic sustainability and to help meet the Sustainable Development Goals through teaching and learning. She believes it is important to build reflective teaching practices based in inclusive and responsive learning. She also helps with curriculum mapping & development and the internationalization of teaching and learning. Her background is in secondary French, mathematics, and outdoor education. In the past, she has consulted the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education on curriculum, resource evaluation, accreditation, and exam validation. She is a first-generation settler with stories and memories in Treaty 1 and Treaty 6 territories.
