LEED v4.1 Renewable Energy Credit Live Q&A (8 a.m. Eastern)
April 7, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am EDT
LEED v4.1 is the newest update to the LEED rating systems. The rating system is designed to be accessible, user-friendly and responsive to market feedback on LEED v4. The Energy and Atmosphere Credit category in LEED v4.1 saw some significant changes that may be new to practitioners, reflecting technological advances in energy efficiency and the evolution of renewable energy markets since LEED v4 was launched. USGBC is committed to helping teams understand why the LEED v4.1 changes were made and become comfortable with this new path forward; join our technical experts as we discuss these updates in detail.
This session will focus on the use of renewable energy to earn LEED credits in our current LEED v4.1 BD+C, ID+C beta. The LEED v4.1 Renewable Energy credit combines two LEED v4 credits, Renewable Energy Production and Green Power and Carbon Offsets, into a single 5-point credit that recognizes on-site and off-site renewable energy procurement. USGBC and GBCI energy experts will provide an overview of changes made to renewable energy criteria in LEED and address your questions.
