The Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) is working with the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), Second Nature, and a group of higher education institutions on an initiative to enable institutions to join together in a large-scale renewable electricity purchasing to achieve critical economic and environmental goals. The workshop will be led by AASHE.

Workshop Goal: Develop in-depth understanding of large-scale renewable electricity (LSRE) options available to Midwest schools, and discuss a path toward accelerating efforts to decarbonize energy supply with cost- competitive renewable electricity. Emphasis will be placed on the potential for collaboration by aggregating demand across institutions to achieve economic and environmental goals.

This workshop is open to institutional representatives from public and private (not-for-profit) institutions.
