The Engineering Education for Sustainable Development (EESD) conference provides an open forum for the discussion and sharing of ideas and methods in teaching practices and curriculum advances in engineering education for sustainability. This year’s theme—Creating the Holistic Engineer—brings about the reality that current and future engineers cannot work in silos and that the broader understanding of the complexity of all human activity is crucial for the development of sound engineering practices.
