In this conversation, we will explore racial equity in the context of DEI in the investment industry and how endowments can leverage their influence for positive, systemic change. Topics may include DEI training for investment teams; selecting diverse asset managers, integrating DEI principles into the investment process, and shareholder engagement to advance racial equity. We will explore which areas endowments are working on and make plans for subsequent community conversations to go deeper on specific elements.

IEN Community Conversations are designed as an opportunity for informal, open online conversations amongst leaders in our field, to build community and strengthen connections within our peer network; as with all of our events, the Chatham House Rule applies.

Over the coming months we are curating a set of Community Conversations to spend time together (online) reflecting on the renewed sense of urgency and momentum that we are feeling around racial justice in our work, our institutions, and our communities. Additional conversations will take place on June 15th and July 23rd.
