DefaultVeg Webinar

May 7, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Free

What is the one change that every single institution can make that would simultaneously reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the risk of future pandemics, and save money? Support a more sustainable food system.

One silver lining of our current situation is that it’s easier to change habits when we’ve been removed from them for a while – so now is a good time to start thinking about how we can serve new, delicious meals on our campuses for the Fall 2020 semester that support more sustainable food systems. But even if we have this golden opportunity to create change, how can we encourage sustainable eating in a way that works for everyone? We have the answer for you! DefaultVeg is an inclusive way to serve food that’s better for the planet and better for us: by making plant-based meals the default option for events and dining halls, while giving diners the choice to opt-in to meals with animal products, instead of having to opt out. Join us to learn how your department, dining hall, or upcoming events can go DefaultVeg – and serve food that aligns with your values for a healthy, sustainable future.
