An Interdisciplinary Approach to Integrating the UN SDGs Within your Course
June 2, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm EDT
This event will take place online.
In 2015 Countries around the world, including Canada, adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030. Agenda 2030, as it is known, offers a unique opportunity for post-secondary institutions to lead transformative change. During this day-long workshop, participants will learn what faculty in Canadian colleges are doing to integrate the UN SDGs within their courses in a meaningful way using place-based learning. Best practices, resources, and tools will be provided to participants, as well as techniques to address climate anxiety in the classroom (the “elephant in the room”). The workshop outcome will be for the participants to develop one sustainability-based learning activity or assignment.
Register today Deadline is May 25, 2020.
