Preparing for Campus Sustainability Month 2017

FreeOctober is Campus Sustainability Month! Join this webinar to gain ideas and inspiration for how you can leverage CSM to engage and inspire incoming students and other campus stakeholders to become sustainability leaders. Speakers will share examples for how campuses can participate, lessons learned and suggestions for how to use this international event to promote sustainability on your campuses and beyond.

Sarah Burke, Sustainability Coordinator, University of Nebraska at Omaha Sarah Burke is the Sustainability Coordinator at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Sarah’s work at UNO includes facilitating the implementation of the Sustainability Master Plan and helping to support sustainability-based curricular and co-curricular programs, events, and research activities for the campus community. Sarah has been with UNO since November 2015 and was involved in the coordination of UNO’s first Campus Sustainability Month in October 2016. |

Stephania Fregosi, Sustainability Coordinator, Chemeketa Community College Stephania Fregosi has been the Sustainability Coordinator at Chemeketa Community College since 2012. She recently completed the college’s first Environmental Stewardship Plan as well as first Chemeketa’s Carbon Action Plan. Her responsibilities include promoting Chemeketa’s sustainability initiatives through outreach to students in partnership with College Life and Student Retention as well as sustainability planning, monitoring and assessment. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College and a Masters of Studies in Environmental Law from the Vermont Law School. |

Lesley Forst, Program Coordinator for University Sustainability Practices, Arizona State University Lesley Forst is a Program Coordinator for University Sustainability Practices at Arizona State University (ASU). In this role, she coordinates various sustainability projects at ASU’s Tempe Campus, manages an online Sustainability Literacy program, and works on staff and student engagement programs. Lesley holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Environmental Studies and Psychology from the University of Southern California. |

Susan Norton, Program Manager for University Sustainability Practices, Arizona State University Susan Norton is a Program Manager for Arizona State University’s Sustainability Practices Department. Her key roles include promoting ASU’s sustainability initiatives through the development of programs, projects and activities, as well as the management of two campus community gardens for students, staff, and faculty. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Sustainability Leadership degree from Arizona State University. |
