A sports team – whether professional or collegiate – has the capacity to promote environmental and social responsibility across the communities with which it intersects. They do so by engaging community members beyond their fan base. One of these key groups are the students who can connect both as fans and leaders for change. Collegiate athletics programs have found creative ways to include students in particular, not only as fans, but as an essential stakeholder group for successful sustainability initiatives in school or as alumni.

During this webinar, representatives from collegiate athletics will share examples of student engagement in sports and sustainability. Speakers will discuss how they look to students as resources for meeting sustainability goals and building a culture around sustainability at their respective institutions.
