Webinar: Advancing Living Lab Through Impactful Partnerships

April 23, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

This session will offer an interactive and comprehensive exploration of the key drivers, successes, and hurdles of transforming a campus into a living lab for sustainability. Stanford University’s recent expansion and formalization of its Living Lab initiatives will be highlighted, with pathways for engagement in three main areas: research partnerships, student experiential learning, and course collaborations. In the 23-24 academic year, Stanford’s Office of Sustainability launched a new living laboratory fellowship program, and formalized its partnership with the new Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. The session will cover funding and governance strategies, supporting students to develop change and project management skills, and effective ways to communicate success and share results. Additionally, the workshop will facilitate a rich exchange of experiences, encouraging participants to draw inspiration and forge connections with peers engaged in similar efforts nationwide.
