In partnership with Midwest Higher Education Compact (MHEC), Second Nature and AASHE, the University of Minnesota will be hosting a renewable energy workshop focused on aggregating campus demand from the 12 states within MHEC in what could be the largest renewable energy aggregation initiative in the country. Participants will develop an in-depth understanding of large-scale renewable electricity (LSRE) options available to Midwest schools and discuss a path toward accelerating efforts to decarbonize energy supply with cost-competitive renewable electricity. Emphasis will be placed on the potential for collaboration by aggregating demand across institutions to achieve economic and environmental goals.
