What is a dorm vs dorm sustainability competition?
At Duke University, the “Eco-Olympics” is a dorm vs. dorm sustainability competition that includes a suite of events promoting recycling, energy and water conservation, environmental education and other sustainable practices. Many schools run similar competitions under names such as the “Green Cup” and “Do it in the Dark.”
 
How to use this site…

This video project came about because the undergraduate environmental student group at Duke University, Environmental Alliance, decided it was time to document their annual Eco-Olympics competition. The idea was to create an instructional video that could be used when organizing the event each year.

During the creation of the film, Environmental Alliance realized that other schools were interested in using the film on their campuses. In order to bring the video to a wide audience and provide an online space for sharing new ideas, AASHE offered to build and host this website.
