PCC Summit: Presidential Voices Project

The 2008 ACUPCC Climate Leadership Summit just wrapped up and I’m excited to present the voices of some of the signatories who were present. Venturing into the world of podcast recordings, I attempted to catch some of these busy Presidents and Chancellors in between panel sessions, meals and any spare moment in between to ask them why they signed, what it meant on their respective campuses and what AASHE and the community of higher education sustainability advocates could do to help support them in achieving this initiative.

There are some interesting responses and stories - some examples include Chancellor Johnson of University of Minnesota Morris and her funny introduction to ESCO’s, the innovative work study program at Warren Wilson College, the philosophy that goes into the sustainability education at Goshen College, the renewed focus on sustainability at Houston Community College and how the PCC help further catalyze efforts at Unity College.
There were some volume/background noise issues that I must apologize for, you may need to adjust the volume on your computer.
